A week of music, collaborative work and sharing under the southern French sun.

Two internships tailored to each profile

INTERNSHIP A

Advanced level, from postgraduate to professional level

  • Daily 1-hour individual lessons

  • Group workshops

  • Orchestral excerpt workshops

  • Opportunity to participate in a mock orchestral competition under real orchestral conditions

  • Rehearsals with a piano accompanist

Mentoring by international artists among the stars of today's double bass.

INTERNSHIP B

All levels, even beginners

  • Daily 45-minutes individual lessons

  • Group workshops

  • Double bass ensembles

  • Rehearsals with piano accompanist

Supervision is provided by conservatory teachers, orchestral musicians, educators, and artists from diverse musical backgrounds.

A day in RCR

MORNING

  • Optional muscle activation session with Ben, certified coach

  • Individual sessions

(1 hour for Stage A, 45 minutes for Stage B)

AFTERNOON

  • Group Workshops:

  • Orchestral Excerpts (Stage A)

  • Double Bass Ensembles

  • Themed Workshops

END OF DAY

  • Masterclasses

  • Conferences

  • Concerts

  • Exchanges and meetings with professors

All participants are welcome to attend any class during either of the two workshops as auditors.


The luthier, Michel Gonzalez, and the bow maker, Jérôme Chuilon, will be present throughout the workshop to advise you and perform various adjustments and repairs.
