Since 2018, the RCR Double Bass Camp has welcomed double bass players from around the world each summer, united by a shared goal : to improve their skills, build lasting connections, and enjoy a unique musical experience in a warm and inspiring environment.

The RCR story
Founded in 2018 by Bernard Salles, the RCR Double Bass Camp continues the tradition of the Rencontres de la Contrebasse en Roussillon. It carries forward the spirit of the renowned double bass courses held in Prades (1983–1985), initiated by Gérard Massat, and later in Capbreton (1990–2014), founded with luthier Christian Nogaro.
Since its creation, the camp has remained true to the same values: passing on knowledge with excellence, kindness, and conviviality, while encouraging exchanges between generations and musical backgrounds.
